While Loudoun County is considered the richest county many of our homeowners cannot afford basic home repairs.

Fortunately, Loudoun County has 3 grants that can help to pay for these repairs. Repairs and renovations that can be made through the Loudoun County Home Improvement Programs not limited to correcting code violations, addressing health and safety issues and making the home more energy efficient. Repairs may be made for plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems and interior/exterior components. All work is performed by licensed, bonded and insured contractors.

The three programs are:

The Emergency Home Repair and Accessibility Grant Program is available to homeowners who are at least 62 years old and/or have a household member with a disability. Household income must be at or below 50% of the Area Median Income.

The Loudoun County Home Improvement Program (LCHIP) is available countywide to homeowners who have household incomes at or below 80% AMI.

The Eastern Loudoun County Home Revitalization Program (LCHRP) is available to homeowners who live east of Route 15 and have household incomes at or below 100%
