Northern Virginia home sellers summer is here!! Loudoun county schools are already out and Fairfax county will be soon ending their schooling year.
If you are planning to be on the market or have a home that is currently listed in the Northern Virginia area should you be concerned about your home selling?
Does real estate market cool down in the Northern Virginia during the hot summer time?
As a local Fairfax & Loudoun county Realtor with over a decade of real estate industry experience, I am not too concerned if you are still actively listed or will be listed on the market soon. The low-interest rate continues to attract home buyers in the area. Some buyers may be holding off their plans to purchase over the summer however we do have a large percentage of relocating buyers who want to move and settle before school reopens. The rental market is the strongest over the summer. But a family relocating for more than couple years are now considering purchasing rather than renting.
The best advice I can give you while selling your home in any given market is “Price it right!” Be competitive in your local marketplace including within your city and neighborhood.
